About Us
Unearthing the forgotten crimes that history tried to erase.
From frontier disappearances to unsolved small-town murders, Crimes Lost to Time explores the mysteries that slipped through the cracks of history. Host Julie Silber combines investigative storytelling with historical insight to uncover the truth — or what’s left of it.
Each season focuses on one state, tracing its hidden past through crime, survival, and the people whose stories never made the history books. Season One begins in Minnesota, where “Minnesota Nice” meets a darker truth beneath the snow. Season Two travels to California, where gold, greed, and ghosts still linger.

Meet Your Host
Julie Silber is a storyteller, investigator, and lifelong history enthusiast with a passion for uncovering the truth behind forgotten crimes. Drawing on her background in communications and her experience leading corporate investigations, Julie brings a thoughtful, research-driven approach to each case — balancing historical accuracy with human insight.
Born and raised in California, Julie spent a decade living in Sweden before settling in Minnesota. That time abroad deepened her appreciation for culture, perspective, and the way stories — both spoken and hidden — shape our understanding of the past.
When she’s not digging through archives or recording an episode, you’ll find her hiking, writing, or exploring the places where history still lingers with her Swedish dog, Pukka.
